Seinfeld (Season 6) DVD Review
from: Britt GilletteThe #1 television show for most of the mid-1990s decade, Seinfeld is a brilliantly conceived idea for a comedy series which redefinied the TV sitcom as we know it. Almost every series since has borrowed bits and pieces of its "nothing theme" in order to entertain rather than attempt to teach at the same time. Centered around the world of comedian Jerry Seinfeld, the show follows the exploits of Jerry and his various friends, who include such notable personalities as George Costanza (Jason Alexander), Cosmo Kramer (Michael Richards), and Elaine Benes (Julia Louis-Dreyfus). Theyre joined by a memorable cast of strange and oddball characters that includes Mulva, Newman, J. Peterman, Uncle Leo, the Close Talker, the Low Talker, the Soup Nazi, Jack Klaumpus, David Putty, Apu, Frank and Estelle Costanza, the Bubble Boy, and assorted others
The Seinfeld (Season 6) DVD features a number of hilarious episodes including the season premiere The Chaperone in which Jerry gets a date with a Miss America contestant. However, the catch is he needs a chaperone. Kramer agrees to be the chaperone, but his and Jerrys involvement end up ruining her act
Other notable episodes from Season 6 include The Big Salad in which George confronts his girlfriend over her taking credit for getting Elaine the big salad that he purchased, and The Face Painter in which Elaine is embarrassed when her boyfriend, David Puddy, paints his face crimson red for a New Jersey Devils game
