South Park (Season 3) DVD Review
from: Britt GilletteSouth Park, an original comedy series by cable channel Comedy Central, mostly chronicles the lives of four elementary school kids - Cartman (an overweight and sarcastic only child), Kyle (who daydreams of killing off his baby brother Ike), Stan (who vomits when seeing a girl he likes), and Kenny (who somehow dies in each episode). All four attend South Park Elementary School under the direction of third grade teacher Mr. Garrison who educates them via use of "Mr. Hat," a handmade handpuppet. Meanwhile, cafeteria worker "Chef" McElroy (Isaac Hayes) freely gives his advice on love matters while periodically belting out love songs. Home to innumerable oddball characters, South Park is a hilarious setting for many adventures...
The South Park (Season 3) DVD features a number of hilarious episodes including the season premiere "Rainforest Schmainforest" in which the boys are forced to join the "Getting Gay with Kids" choir as punishment for their bad classroom behavior. When the choir takes an adventurous tour of the rain forest in which they almost get eaten by snakes, shot by rebel guerrillas, sacrificed by native cannibals, and sunk in quick sand, they decide the rainforest sucks… Other notable episodes from Season 3 include "Spontaneous Combustion" in which the townsfolk of South Park start spontaneously combusting because they are holding in their farts. When they start farting, the massive release facilitates the greater problem of global warming… And "Sexual Harassment Panda" in which Kyle's dad goes on a litigious rampage in the aftermath of the boys' public service message courtesy of the Sexual Harassment Panda (who then agrees to become Petey "The Don't Sue People" Panda)…
